Surat Lawn Cemetery Plans - Have Your Say

The Council is seeking the community’s feedback on the current plans for Surat’s new cemetery development.

Council recently approved a project to construct a new lawn cemetery in Surat in 2023 / 2024. As part of the project Council has drafted residents with a concept map that is now open for public comment (see here). 

The map provides concepts of new and existing infrastructure within the existing boundary of the cemetery footprint. 

Council welcomes your feedback on this plan and also on Stage 1 works to install two (2) concrete beams, irrigation, new turf and a new back fence. Feedback closes at 5pm Friday 17 May, 2024.
