Born and bred in the region, Cr Brendan Seawright, with his wife Krissy and children, Will, Bell and Tom, still calls the Maranoa home.
He attended school in Yuleba and Wallumbilla, moving away for a brief period to complete his trade qualifications. He now works as an operator maintainer (mechanic) for AGL at the Wallumbilla LPG plant.
While most of his spare time is spent as an avid community volunteer, he has a passion for vintage tractors owning “more then I should with barely any time to work on them”.
Brendan is a member of the Wallumbilla Show, Wallumbilla Town Improvement Group, Wallumbilla SS P&C Association, Wallumbilla Campdraft Assc, Yuleba Development Group and Yuleba Rural Fire Brigade with his community involvement seeing him recognised as the Bendemere Citizen of the Year at the 2024 Australia Day Awards.
Brendan says that the natural beauty of the region and its people is what that makes the Maranoa such a special place to live. As a Councillor, Brendan has a special interest in economically growing our region and improving housing in our community.
