Become a Library Workshop Presenter
Maranoa Regional Council Libraries offers a diverse range of workshops, programs, and events for our community, providing opportunities to learn new skills while having fun.
If you'd like to share your expertise with the community free of charge and meet the eligibility criteria below, you can submit your Expression of Interest here.

We welcome applications from individuals, community groups, small local businesses, organisations, artists, and educators.
Preference will be given to applicants residing in the Maranoa area.
Proposed programs must be delivered in a workshop or presentation format.
Applicants must:
- Have relevant qualifications and / or experience in their topic or theme.
- Be effective and engaging public speakers.
- Be flexible with scheduling, including availability for some weekends.
- Be available for an interview with our team to confirm suitability.
- Provide an overview of the proposed workshop, including potential activities.
- Supply supporting documentation (e.g. qualifications or life experience) if required.
- Be open to discussions about delivering workshops throughout the Maranoa region.
Applications will not be accepted from:
- Businesses, community groups, or individuals seeking to sell products or services.
- Applicants wanting to impose an entrance or ticket fee.
- Workshops with content of a political, religious, medical, or ideological nature.

To submit an expression of interest:
- Confirm that you meet the eligibility criteria above.
- Complete and submit the online Expression of Interest form.
After your submission you will be notified within four weeks if your application is progressing to the interview stage.If selected, a member of our libraries team will contact you to schedule an in-person interview to discuss your proposal.
Supporting documentation such as qualifications or evidence of life experience does not need to be submitted with the Expression of Interest form but may be required later during the interview and approval process.

All presenters must complete an Expression of Interest form and agree to the following conditions:
- Relevant qualifications or life experience are required to support your proposed presentation.
- It is preferred that presenter time is kindly donated for the benefit of the community; however remuneration may be considered subject to budget availability.
- Workshops must be informative and not primarily promote a product or service.
- The libraries team will schedule workshops within the programming calendar.
- Workshops may be scheduled up to six months in advance and require at least 90 days' lead time for planning and promotion.
- Presenters may provide business cards or promotional material to attendees at the end of the workshop.

Maranoa Regional Council Libraries may promote workshops through various channels, including:- Print materials
- Social media
- Libraries website and eNews
Important Notes:
- Maranoa Regional Council Libraries cannot guarantee attendee numbers; session bookings are indicative only.
- Workshops may be cancelled by the libraries or rescheduled to a mutually agreed date.
