Long established in the Maranoa region, Mayor Wendy Taylor and her late husband Peter raised three daughters in the region, and for more than 30 years operated their business 'Taylor Parts Centre' in Roma and Charleville. Alongside their business, they also ran cattle operations in both Roma and west of Mungallala.

Wendy is an active volunteer in the community giving her time to a wide range of community groups and is currently Treasurer of the Roma Clay Target Club.

With her own experience in business, Wendy is passionate about supporting other local businesses. As Mayor she seeks to play her part in giving back to the community that supported her family business and to contribute to securing the vibrant future of the Maranoa region.
