Anzac Day

Every year, Maranoa Regional Council joins with the community to commemorate Anzac Day at services across the region.

In 2025, Anzac Day falls on a Friday and residents are encouraged to attend a ceremony to commemorate the day and remember those who have maintained those traditions of service to our country.

What is Anzac Day, why do we celebrate it?

Anzac Day honours the memory of those who landed on the shores of Gallipoli on 25 April 1915 as well as those who have followed in their footsteps.
