Kerb and channel works

Maranoa Regional Council would like to advise residents that kerb and channel works are due to commence on Fifth and Second Avenue, Injune in the coming week.

The works, which will see the old kerb and channel replaced with new, is scheduled to take approximately 4-6 weeks, and be completed around late April (weather permitting).

To accommodate these works, Fifth & Second Avenue will remain open to allow motorists to travel with no detours.

During construction, there are likely to be temporary impacts to the parking and pedestrian access in the vicinity of the Injune Hospital and on the northern side of Second Avenue. Council will be working closely with affected residents, Hospital and Information Centre to minimise these impacts during construction.

Temporary signage will be in place to assist guiding motorists and pedestrians safely through the work area and help manage the safety of our crews.

Council thanks residents in advance for their patience and cooperation.
