Bitumen reseal program moves to Roma town streets
Council would like to advise residents that bitumen resealing works will take place on several streets in Roma over the coming days.
The program will see sections on the following streets receive a new coat of bitumen.
- Spencer Street South
- Feather Street
- Mayne Street
- Station Street
- Gregory Street
- Hunter Street
- Everingham Avenue
- Taylor Street Area (including Taylor, Reid, and Howards Streets) and
- Mullavey Street Area (including Mullavey, Eva, Laman and Nuss Streets)
Bitumen resealing is a critical step in maintaining Council’s current bitumen road network. It reduces the maintenance costs of these roads and extends their overall life.
Work will be planned to keep disruptions on roads to a minimum during this period, however residents can expect short delays when sections of road are reduced to one lane or when detours of the worksite are in place.
Traffic management will be in place for the safety of both the workers and road users. Council asks that you please follow the direction of traffic controllers and signs during this period.
Letterbox drops will be completed in advance to advise those residents where bitumen sealing works will specifically occur.
Council appreciates your patience while the works are underway.
