C-27J SPARTAN AIRCRAFT SET TO TOUCH DOWN IN ROMA
Members of the community will get the chance to look over and walk through the Royal Australian Air Force’s (Air Force) impressive C-27J Spartan aircraft on Saturday, 28 May at Roma Airport.
Not only will you get the chance to view this remarkable aircraft which is based at RAAF Amberley near Brisbane, but you’ll get the chance to see unit displays of combat equipment, a military quad bike and military working dogs.
To add to the spectacle, Defence Force Recruiting will have members in attendance with merchandise to hand out and the local Australian Air Force Cadets 204 Squadron – Roma, will also be involved in the event.
The visit is an opportunity for members of the community to not only view a remarkable aircraft that complements the Australian Defence Force's existing air mobility fleet but meet Air Force personnel and introduce young people to aviation and inspire an interest in the Air Force.
Set to be an exciting showcase, the C-27J Spartan Aircraft and unit displays will be open to the public from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, 28 May at the Roma Airport.
To gain access to the aircraft, community members will be required to produce photo identification (excluding children under the age of 18). Additionally, handbags and backpacks will not be permitted past the identification checkpoint.
