TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE FOR KNAYERS LANE

Council would like to advise residents that the Bungil Creek crossing on Knayers Lane (Roma) will be temporarily closed from 11 July 2022 to mid-August 2022.

The closure will be in place to allow for construction works to be completed at the Bungil Creek crossing.

A new concrete floodway will be constructed as a bed level crossing to help reduce ongoing maintenance costs and improve the access along Knayers Lane during periods of inclement weather.

Due to the nature and location of the works, a temporary road closure of Knayers Lane is required to help ensure the safety of both the work crews and the general public.

Alternative routes will be available for residents with Short Street, Burtons Road and Carnarvon Highway all to remain open for use.

Signage will be in place during the construction period advising of the road closure.
