Entry price halved for Mitchell’s Great Artesian Spa while Council works to restore temperature
UPDATE: Mitchell's Great Artesian Spa is now operating normally.
Council would like to inform residents and visitors that the Great Artesian Spa in Mitchell has recently been experiencing difficulties maintaining water temperature.
Due to the cold and wet winter this year and a record low water consumption in the town, the hot artesian bores are running spasmodically which has resulted in the spa having difficulty reaching the normal operating temperature of 38 degrees Celsius. The water temperature is currently 33 degrees Celsius and rising.
Council and the Booringa Action Group are working on rectifying the problem over the next two weeks. While the water remains below the normal operating temperature range, the Spa admission prices will be discounted by 50% for all visitors to the facility.
The temporary entry prices during this time are as follows:
Adult day pass - $4.00 per day
Concession pass (pensioners and children between 4 and 16) - $3.10 per day
Family pass - $13.15 per day
The spa is free for children under 4 years of age.
Council apologises for any inconvenience and thanks residents and visitors for their patience during this time. An update will be provided once normal operating temperature has been restored.
