Roma Flood Levee Stage 1 – Gravel Capping

Council would like to advise residents that works will commence in the coming week on the Roma Flood Mitigation Levee.

The works planned include haulage and construction of a gravel access track on top of Stage 1 of the Flood Mitigation Levee to provide safe access for monitoring of the structure.

Commencing next week, Council will be hauling material from stockpiled areas near the airport and Ashburn Road that will be placed on top of the levee.

Work will be planned to keep disruptions on roads to a minimum during this period, however increased truck movements will occur on the Carnarvon Highway, McPhie Street, Bassett Lane East, Edwards Street and Miscamble Street along with the Flood Levee Structure itself.
