‘Tis the season to be merry as Council begins accepting monetary donations from Today, 26 October until Friday, 25 November 2022 for the annual Christmas Relief Appeal.

Council is continuing its partnership with Salvation Army to offer Christmas Relief to households in need of extra support during the holiday season. Toys and food relief cards will be available to eligible households throughout the Maranoa.

If you would like to help those in our community and spread a little Christmas joy, donations can be made:

Mayor Tyson Golder said that as we enter the holiday season, the Christmas Relief Appeal is a fantastic opportunity for Maranoa community members to support those across the region who have fallen on hard times this year.

“The festive season can often be a difficult time for some, the Christmas relief appeal is an important initiative that helps ease the financial burden often felt during this time.

It is great to see our Maranoa community come together to support those in need during this special time of the year.” Cr Golder.
