Council and APLNG support Roma Team - Queensland Connects Live Work Play Platform with RCAT
Maranoa Regional Council is pleased to announce funding support of $125,000 for the Team Roma- Queensland Connects Project – Live Work Play, approved at the Ordinary Council meeting on 9 November 2022
This project is supported and funded by Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) through the Worker Transition Agreement.
Mayor Tyson Golder said he would like to congratulate RCAT and the Queensland Connect Committee who will deliver the project for the Maranoa region.
“We look forward to seeing the platform promote Roma and our surrounding towns as a great place to live, work, play and stay and assist those people looking to relocate to the region.” Said Cr Golder
Dave Atkin, General Manager, said Origin as Upstream Operator for APLNG is committed to supporting Team Roma as they progress this initiative to deliver meaningful liveability projects, supporting both current and future residents of the region.
“We are excited to see this project commence and look forward to the significant benefit it will bring to the Maranoa and our surrounding regional communities,” he said.

We know that Roma and the Maranoa is a great place to live, work and play and this project will showcase our wonderful region, and provide our businesses with a valuable employment resource tool."

The project will be coordinated by the Roma Commerce and Tourism (RCAT) and will commence in 2023.
