Anzac Day services across the Maranoa region

Anzac day

Maranoa Regional Council is pleased to announce that ANZAC Day services will be held throughout the region on Tuesday, 25 April 2023.

Commemorative services will commence at dawn – the time of the original landing in Gallipoli and will continue throughout the morning in each of the local areas.

ANZAC Day services involve traditions such as laying of wreaths, the Last Post and a minute of silence to honour the fallen soldiers.  These services will provide an opportunity for the community to come together and pay their respects to the brave men and women who served and died for their country.

Maranoa Regional Council Mayor Tyson Golder said, ANZAC Day is an important occasion for our community to come and honour the brave men and women from Australia and New Zealand who fought for their countries.

“We encourage everyone in the Maranoa region to come together and pay their respects at one of the services being held in your local area – Lest We Forget,” said Cr Golder.
