Next Round of APLNG Liveability Grants Open
In partnership with Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) with Origin Energy as upstream operator, Maranoa Regional Council has announced Round 3 of Liveability Grant funding will open next month.
Council and APLNG are committed to improving liveability by making the Maranoa region a better place to live, work and play. The APLNG Liveability Grants support projects, activities and events that enrich the lives of residents within the region.
The application period will open on Monday, 2 October and is available to not-for-profit organisations and groups within the Maranoa region. There are two rounds available for the 2023/24 financial year.
Applicants can apply for grants of up to $25,000. Requested funding amounts under $10,000 requires no co-contribution while amounts between $10,001 - $25,000 requires a 20% cash or in-kind co-contribution.
Mayor Tyson Golder said the APLNG Liveability Grants give community groups a helping hand for their projects.
“As per previous funding rounds for the APLNG-Council Liveability Program, many community groups have benefited with the outcome of increased liveability in the Maranoa,” Cr Golder said.
Origin General Manager Asset West Aleta Nicoll said Origin and APLNG was pleased to continue contributing to a thriving region through the grant program.
“Supporting a diverse range of community projects, activities, and events all help make the Maranoa a great place to live and visit”.

The Round 3 application period will close on Friday, 10 November 2023. It will take up to six weeks for community organisations to be notified of the result of their application.
