Gas incentives for businesses in Roma
Maranoa Regional Council is offering industrial and commercial businesses the opportunity to connect to Roma’s gas network with big incentives.
Council is offering to extend its gas infrastructure, at our expense, to service the Raglan Street and Saleyards industrial areas to enable access to natural gas, provided the gas is used as part of their production processes.
On top of that, Council has reduced its fees for industrial and commercial business from $0.035/MJ to $0.015/MJ (for business using over 15,000MJ per quarter).
To apply for this new incentive please submit your request to Council.
Mayor Tyson Golder said that we are pleased to be able to offer these incentives to our business community.
“Roma has been known for its natural gas and has been supplying the town for many years. Council has reduced the gas fees for industrial and commercial businesses by over half to help transition businesses to natural gas,” Cr Golder said.
“Increasing energy affordability makes stronger businesses to grow in the Maranoa.”

Please note connection fees still apply. For more information about the incentives, please contact Council’s Gas Team on 1300 007 662.
