2025 Australia Day Awards  

Council endorsed the 2025 Australia Awards at the meeting. Both award recipients and nominees will be celebrated at the Australia Day Award Ceremonies held across the region on 26, January 2025.  

Sundry Debt Recovery Policy Review 

Council adopted the Sundry Debt Recovery Policy under its scheduled review. The policy provides a structured framework to recover debts owed to Council, excluding rates and charges. The review confirms the policy continues to support timely debt recovery while balancing fairness and financial responsibility for customers and council. 

Monthly Financial Report October 2024  

Council received and noted the Monthly Financial Report for the months of October. The purpose of these reports is for the Chief Executive Officer to present monthly financial statement to Council in accordance with the Local Government Regulation 2012

Donation of Wedge-tailed Eagle Sculpture  

As a part of the 2024 Sculptures Outback Exhibition, Injune Creative Inc and co-contributors purchased the ‘Wedged-Tailed Eagled’ by Artist Stuart Taylor. At the meeting Council approved to accept the donation of the sculpture to Council and install within the Injune Community.  Council will continue to undertake community consultation to establish the preferred location within the Injune Multipurpose Precinct.  

Amendment of Ordinary Meeting schedule for December 2024 

A change in meeting dates was adopted due to an opportunity for Council to advocate to the new State Government ministry.  The General Meeting will change from Wednesday 11 December 2024 to Thursday 12 December 2024. 

Commercial Sale of Manure  

Council has approved the calling of an Expression of Interest for selling the existing manure stockpile that is cleared from the yards and the truck wash daily. Businesses are invited to express interest in the commercial removal and selling of the existing manure stockpiles.
