Applications through Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) Program 2024/2025
Council's Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) Committee has reviewed two funding applications and endorsed the grant assessment recommendations. The committee approved $3,831 for the Wallumbilla Women’s Wellness Weekend and $1,992 for Maranoa Artists Inc Rod Moore workshop. Additionally, Mr Jason Gregg has been endorsed as a new member of the RADF Committee, in line with the committee’s terms and conditions.
Easter in the Country’s Outback Tucker Under the Stars – Request Use of Saleyards
Council has approved Easter in the Country's request to host the "Livestock and Property Outback Tucker Under the Stars" event at the Roma Saleyards on Thursday, 17 April 2025, as part of the Easter in the Country festival. The council will also provide in-kind assistance and prepare a report on event costs following the occasion.
2024/25 Quarter 2 Budget Amendment I Budget Review
Council adopted the recommendations for the amended Budget for the 2024-2025 financial year, in accordance with the Local Government Act and Regulation. The budget review incorporates an update to the Statement of Income and Expenditure, Financial Position, Cash Flow Statement, Changes in Equity, Long-Term Financial Forecast, and Measures of Financial Sustainability.
Tender 25006 – Roma Denise Spencer Aquatic Centre
Council received and noted an initial report providing an overview and update of tender responses for the Roma Denise Spencer Aquatic Centre development. Contractor appointment to follow in the coming weeks.
Sponsorship Request – Saloon Car Club of Roma & District Inc
Council approved a $5,000 sponsorship for the Saloon Car Club of Roma and District Incs Easter event, scheduled for 17-19 April 2025, as part of Easter in the Country. The sponsorship will assist cover costs for the three nights of racing and will be drawn from the Sponsorship Budget.
Monthly Financial Report as at 31 January 2025
Council received the financial report for the month of January in accordance with the Local Government Regulation 2012. The forecast aligns with the budgeted deficit.
Amendment to Resolution – Setting of Meeting Dates 2025
Council has reviewed the 2025 meeting schedule and approved moving ordinary meetings from Wednesdays to Thursdays during the 2nd and 4th weeks of each month, effective from March to December 2025.
Don Ross Historical Collection
Council acknowledged that both the Yuleba Development Group and the Cobb & Co Changing Station Museum Group have been consulted about the Don Ross Collection.
