Fire at Roma Waste Facility - Facility remains open

Council would like to advise residents that a fire has occurred at the Roma Waste Facility this morning. Council staff are currently controlling the fire.

The Waste Facility remains open.

Council asks that you please close your windows and doors and keep your medications close if you suffer from a respiratory condition, as there may be a potential smoke hazard.
