Wallumbilla Waste Facility to become Transfer Station - Community Meeting - 1 December 2021

Maranoa Regional Council is in the process of converting the Wallumbilla Waste Facility from a landfill to a transfer station.

Councillors and Council Officers will be holding a community meeting in Wallumbilla on Wednesday, 1 December 2021 to update the community on the change and answer questions from community members.

The meeting will commence at 6pm on 1 December and will be held at the Wallumbilla Hall.

Attendees will be advised on the new process and procedure for the Waste Facility.

The new improved system will reduce wind scattered litter, contain the waste to the provided bins which will be regularly emptied, and reduce impacts to the local environment.
