SURAT BRIDGE NOW CLOSED DUE TO BALONNE RIVER RISING

Maranoa Regional Council would like to advise residents that the Surat bridge on the Carnarvon Highway closed at 9am this morning.

Due to rising river heights of the Balonne River with a current reading of 10.99m (manual gauge).

Council will continue to monitor the situation and will inform residents of any changes.

Council would like to remind the community to remain cautious. Drivers are advised to check for road closures and weather warnings, before setting off.
