Council Christmas and New Year closure dates

Maranoa Regional Council Customer Service Centres, Administration Offices, Libraries and other non-essential services will be closed from close-of-business Thursday, 23 December 2021.

Normal Council functions will resume on Tuesday, 4 January 2022.

The Roma Waste Facility will be closed Christmas Day. Skip bins will be placed outside the facility for public use. 

Yuleba Post Office will close on the gazetted public holidays only. All other business days will operate as usual.

Normal opening times for Roma, Surat, Injune and Mitchell libraries will resume the week commencing Tuesday, 4 January 2022. Normal opening times for Wallumbilla, Mungallala and Jackson libraries will resume the week commencing Monday, 10 January 2022.

Field based teams of Roma, Bungil, Bendemere, Warroo and Booringa and Roma Quarry will shut down from Monday, 20 December 2021 with services to resume on Tuesday, 4 January 2022.

Council will have skeleton crews operating throughout the Christmas/New Year period to respond to emergency callouts only.

The Roma Visitor Information Centre, Injune Visitor Information Centre and The Big Rig will be closed from Saturday, 25 December 2021 to Tuesday, 28 December 2021 and from Saturday, 1 January 2022 to Monday, 3 January 2022. These facilities will be opened between 9am and 2pm from Wednesday, 22 December to Monday, 3 January 2022 (excluding the previously mentioned public holidays).

The last Big Rig Night Show Sunset Experience for 2021 will be held on Monday, 20 December 2021 and the first show for 2022 to be held on Wednesday, 5 January 2022.
