PLANNED PRESCRIBED BURNS IN AMBY THIS WEEKEND

Maranoa Regional Council wishes to advise residents in the town of Amby that Queensland Fire & Emergency Services will be conducting planned burns in the region, starting Saturday, 10 June.

These fire mitigation measures will allow excess fuel loads to be burnt off in preparation for the summer months later this year.

It is recommended that windows and doors are kept closed during this time and those who may suffer from a respiratory condition should keep their medication close by.

Council would like to thank residents in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any inconveniences this may cause.
