Wallumbilla Landfill – Temporary Limited Site Access

Council would like to advise residents that the Wallumbilla Waste Facility has temporary access restrictions in place due to possible asbestos containing materials unlawfully dumped.

These materials were dumped in the white/steel goods and green waste areas.

Council has restricted access to the transfer bins and a section of the steel waste site until possible asbestos containing materials are removed. Council requests that residents refrain from dumping green waste and bulk materials at the Wallumbilla facility while these issues are being resolved. Free disposal is available at other Maranoa Regional Council waste facilities. 

Residents are asked to observe all temporary barriers until further notice.
