Drinking water alert lifted in Surat

Maranoa Regional Council informs Surat residents the boil water alert has been lifted.

Additionally, all residents and businesses in Surat are notified that the potable water is safe for drinking and community use.

Council has worked closely with Queensland Health over the last few weeks to resolve the situation as quickly as possible including recent repairs to the water treatment plant. Both agencies will continue to closely monitor the situation.

Council wishes to thank the community for their patience and apologises for the inconvenience and disruption to this service.

Residents are asked to share this notice with neighbours and friends.
