Drinking Water Alert Lifted at Amby and Mungallala

Maranoa Regional Council advises all residents in Amby and in Mungallala that tap water used for drinking is now safe to consume.

This notice applies to all residents in Amby and in Mungallala from 21/03/2024.

There is no longer a public health concern over the quality of drinking water, and it is now considered safe for all typical uses including drinking, use in food or beverages, personal washing, dishwashing, laundry purposes and flushing toilets.

Maranoa Regional Council has worked closely with Queensland Health over the last few weeks to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. Chlorination and flushing of the lines has occurred as well as ongoing testing. Both agencies will continue to closely monitor the situation.

Residents should flush out affected water from the pipes in their home.
