Temporary Interruption to Electricity Supply – Surat

Maranoa Regional Council wishes to advise residents in the town of Surat that notifications have been received from Ergon Energy advising of planned interruptions to the electricity supply.

The interruptions will take place on Tuesday, 25 June and Tuesday, 2 July between the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm. 

The work is to replace poles on a high voltage feeder line. The second outage is a contingency order in the instance that the work cannot be completed in the first planned outage.

Ergon Energy Network advises written notification in advance to customers who are impacted by planned outages.

In this case, Ergon Energy noted 1110 customers were sent letters to their postal address on 3 June with customers also having the option of registering for SMS notifications, which will provide information about planned and unplanned outages.
