Roma Student Hostel Road Works

Maranoa Regional Council advises bitumen rehabilitation works will commence on the Roma Student Hostel access road on Tuesday, 2 July 2024.

The works will occur from Monday, 2 July to Saturday, 6 July between the hours of 7am and 5pm. 

The access road is located on Powell Street between Rayner Street and Watson Street. 

Local residents will observe construction traffic in the vicinity of Lions Park, Powell Street, Rayner Street, Watson Street, Elmer Street and nearby areas.

The work has been scheduled during the school holidays to minimise disruptions to students who reside in the area during school terms. 

The works are expected to take between three to four days to complete, including bitumen sealing. 

Traffic controllers, advance warning signs, and detours will be in place to help guide motorists and pedestrians safely around the work site. 

Council would like to thank residents for their patience while these road works are completed.
