Temporary Night Road Closure: Charles Street, Roma

On Thursday 10 October 2024, Council will be undertaking roadworks on Charles Street, between Station Street and Bowen Street (Warrego Highway).

These are preliminary works for an asphalt overlay project later in October 2024. 

To help reduce the impact to residents and businesses in the area, the works have been programmed to be undertaken at night from 6.00pm to 5.30am. The works are expected to take between 3 to 4 hours to complete, during which time the street will be closed. 

Access to the White Bull Tavern drive-through liquor store will be avalible via Station Street only. Traffic controllers, advance warning signs and detours will be in place to help guide motorists and pedestrians safely around the worksite.
