Gas Replacement: Station Street, Roma
Back
Roma residents are advised that a gas replacement project will commence on Wednesday, 6 November and is scheduled to be completed by Friday, 29 November.
This project will involve the replacement of approximately 800 meters of gas main along Station Street, from Tiffin Street to Arthur Street.
Key Details:
- Dump Point Access: There will be interuptions to the dump point access for approximately 10 hours during this period. A further notice will be provided 24 hours in advance of any disruption.
- Traffic Conditions: Road conditions may be slightly affected as work will take place near the traffic lane on the southern side of Station Street. Speed limits will be reduced to 50 km/h, and some excavations may remain open with temporary fencing until the new main is fully commissioned.
- Driveway and Footpath Access: Access to the driveways and footpaths may be hindered on the southern side of Station Street as trenching progresses westward. Council will make every effort to notify those impacted at least 24 hours prior to any digging and will aim to minimize the duration that trenches remain open.
Council appreciates your understanding and cooperation during this essential infrastructure upgrade.
