Thunderstorms and Your Pets

Storm season is upon us so it's crucial to consider how this weather might affect your best mate.

There has been an increase in the number of dogs escaping their yards as this wet weather softens the ground making it easier for dogs to dig under fences.

This can be compounded by dogs being agitated by storms, a common response as they become frightened.

You can help your best mate through these loud noises by providing them with suitable comfort and security.

A small safe place like a laundry or toilet is ideal. A crate in a garage or inside the house would be the next best alternative.

As the rain clears for a little while, take a moment to inspect your yard for any potential escape routes!

My Pet. My Responsibility.
