Injune Boil Water Notice Lifted

The boiled water alert has been lifted in Injune.

Residents in Injune can now use the tap water for drinking without boiling. This notice applies from 3:00pm Wednesday, 5 March 2024.

A lightning strike on 14 February damaged the system board controlling pumps and chlorination, resulting in the need to boil water to ensure it is safe for consumption. Council has worked closely with Queensland Health over the last weeks to monitor the water supply and has now received the all clear.  

Residents should flush out affected water from the pipes in their home and are are asked to share this notice with neighbours and friends.

We are still repairing some issues with the pressure system but this should not impact supply. Please report any problems with odour or discolouration as normal by contact Council on 1300 007 662.
