Maranoa Regional Council advises residents that kerb and channel works will commence on Beitz Street, Roma from Monday, 7 April.

The project will involve the installation of a new kerb and channel on both sides of the western end of Beitz Street – located between Jackson Street and Cottell Street.

The works are scheduled for completion in April 2025 weather permitting.

The project is funded through the Australian Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) Program.

Beitz Street works will begin at the completion of the Foott Street kerb and channel upgrades with additional upgrades programmed for later in 2025.

Traffic management signage will be in place to guide motorists and pedestrians safely through or around the worksite during construction.

Residents are asked to follow all signage and instructions from traffic controllers.

Driveway access may be temporarily restricted during works, however Council’s team will be in discussion with affected residents in advance to minimise inconvenience.

Council appreciates your understanding and thanks residents for their continued cooperation during the upgrade process.
